CILICIA. Kelenderis. Circa 410-375 BC. Stater (Silver, 22 mm, 10.68 g, 12 h). Nude ephebe, holding whip in his right hand and reins in his left, seated sideways on horse prancing right, preparing to jump off. Rev. ΚΕΛE Goat kneeling left, its head turned back to left; in exergue, T; all within shallow round incuse. Casabonne Type 4. Gorny & Mosch 200 (2011), 1974 (same dies). Kraay, Celenderis, -. SNG Levante -. SNG Paris -. A very rare variety. Struck from a slightly worn obverse die and with light scratches, otherwise, extremely fine.
